Nestled within the luxurious Golkonda Resort & Spa in Gandipet, Hyderabad, Jewel of Nizam – The Minar is a spectacular fine-dining restaurant that captures the royal grandeur and culinary legacy of the Nizams of Hyderabad. Towering elegantly above the serene Osman Sagar Lake, this architectural marvel — built in the form of a majestic minaret — offers 360-degree panoramic views, making it one of the most exclusive dining destinations in South India.
Inside, every detail echoes regal opulence — from the richly adorned interiors and chandeliers to the traditional cutlery and royal seating, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance. The restaurant’s cuisine pays tribute to authentic Hyderabadi, Mughlai, and North Indian flavors, each dish meticulously crafted using age-old recipes and premium ingredients.
The signature dishes here include the Dum Pukht Biryani, Shahi Nehari, Murgh Khubani Kebab, and the legendary Double Ka Meetha, each prepared with precision and passion. Vegetarians are equally pampered with rich Nawabi gravies, paneer delicacies, and aromatic dals. The restaurant’s set-course menus, accompanied by soothing ghazals and personalized service, turn every meal into a royal affair.
Beyond the food, Jewel of Nizam – The Minar is celebrated for its unmatched ambience, ideal for romantic dinners, business meetings, and special celebrations. The gentle breeze from the lake, coupled with candlelit elegance, offers an enchanting experience that few restaurants can rival.
If you seek fine dining that blends history, flavor, and luxury, this iconic venue at Gandipet’s Golkonda Resort is an unmissable gem in Hyderabad’s culinary crown. City Nest proudly showcases this restaurant as a symbol of heritage dining and timeless sophistication in the City of Pearls.
